Always call before coming in with an emergency. In the best interest of your pet, depending on the urgency of your case and our ability to treat it, we will either ask you to come in or refer you to the emergency hospital. We do not have 24 hour monitored care at Pawsitive Wellness.
Frequently Asked Questions
No, but we can help you find a veterinary practice that does.
I am unable to schedule an appointment but could drop off my pet to be seen by a doctor during the day. How does this type of appointment work?
If you need to drop off your pet and leave them for the day, we can accommodate your needs, with advance notice. The Dr. will complete your pet’s exam and reach out to you to discuss the examination findings. Next we will schedule a time for you to pick up your pet.
During drop off your pet will be checked in by a veterinary technician. This is your opportunity to discuss your concerns directly with our team.
No. Prescription drugs require a doctor patient relationship. Just like human doctors, veterinarians are required to examine first time patients before prescribing any prescription medications.
The Dr. must examine your pet at least annually to maintain the doctor patient relationship and be able to continue prescribing your pet’s medications.
Not typically. We are best prepared to treat your pet at our state of the art facility that is well staffed and well equipped. Of course if you are unable to come in we will attempt to find a solution for you.
We treat dogs, cats, pocket pets, exotics, and small farm animals that can be brought into the office.
We routinely request records from pet hospitals both locally and around the country. Just tell us who to call and the patient’s name and we will take care of the rest. We do all the work for you so you can concentrate on enjoying your first visit to Pawsitive Wellness Veterinary Care.
